Apparently I Fund Netflix

𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐚 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 & 𝐌𝐲 𝐃𝐨𝐠 𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐭.

I think I’ve finally decoded Netflix’s “Corporate Math” and it’s actually kind of impressive in a terrifying way.

They are ready to drop billions to potentially acquire Warner Bros. Entertainment and own half of Hollywood, yet they act like the financial world is collapsing because my dog-walker logged in with my account from down the street.

It turns out, this isn’t hypocrisy but a very specific funding strategy designed to turn us all into involuntary investors & considering how early some of us subscribed to their service, we are as good as Venture Capitalists.
